Aquarium, San Sebastián

The Aquarium in San Sebastián, part-aquarium part-museum, located in the Basque Country, is the home of the Oceanographic Society of Gipuzkoa for teaching and learning. The museum houses an exhibition dedicated to the marine and maritime history of the region. Following a series of renovations, which tripled the amount of exhibiton space, the new facility is one of the most advanced in Europe and is the first Aquarium in Europe equipped with an underwater tunnel that allows 360° viewing.

Challenge

The Aquarium asked Imagineear to upgrade their existing audio content into an engaging, self-guided multimedia tour.

Solution

Imagineear’s creative and project management teams reworked the script to match the existing visual assets and audio to create a content-rich tour with slideshows and updated videos. Visitors are able to choose to navigate the tour using a keypad or scrollable list.

Innovation

Imagineear created a completely bespoke interface design, which perfectly complements the client’s branding and the look and feel of The Aquarium, and the MPti™ is the ideal frame to showcase a tour that really engages the visitor and adds value to the whole visitor experience.

"It's been a pleasure to partner with Imagineear on this project. The work they have done to convert our old audio guide into an awesome new multimedia tour is genius! We couldn't be happier with the result and we are so grateful to the Imagineear team for all their help and advice during the process."
