King’s Cross: Art + Culture Web App

Imagineear’s content creation services and TourBuilder Plus™ web app solution were chosen for the prestigious King’s Cross development by client Argent LLP.

Challenge

Argent LLP were looking for a mobile content solution which would promote the wealth of art, culture and history on offer in the new city quarter, W1C, and which would attract local and national interest.  They sought a web app to encourage exploration of the King’s Cross neighbourhood and increase engagement, dwell-time and investment in and around the area.

Reimagining the visitor experience at King’s Cross remotely during lockdown presented many challenges which we are proud to have overcome, most significantly the shift in target audience from international to national and the changes in client brief arising from this shift.

Solution

Imagineear proposed an Imagineear Web App (IWA) as the ideal platform along with the creation of engaging, rich and colourful audio-visual content.  The IWA can be accessed directly by visitors’ smartphones simply by scanning a QR code.  Content is presented via an intuitive map and menu highlighting 2,000 years of history and cultural features of interest and showcasing King’s Cross as one of London’s most exciting ‘must-see’ destinations. Imagineear produced a creative and engaging script, brought to life by much-loved British actor Russell Tovey.

Working with Argent LLP using our comprehensive and flexible TourBuilder Plus™ platform allowed the client full creative and operational flexibility and ensured that we were able to make changes to the build quickly and efficiently. We were able to overcome significant challenges to plan, script, design and build an exciting and innovative Web App, meeting the client’s brief and to deadline.
