Inverary Jail, Argyll, Scotland

We were chosen by Inverary Jail, who were seeking a stable and reliable partner with whom to continue their existing audioguide service offering.

Following extensive renovation, Inveraray Jail opened to the public in May 1989, almost a hundred years after the last prisoners departed. It now attracts visitors from all over the world and continues to be one of Scotland’s top tourist attractions.

Imagineear took existing content from the Inverary jail tour, delivering it on our MPtouch Interactive™ (MPti™) device; our purpose-built, robust, tablet player with a high quality, touchscreen and a battery pack designed for all-day repeat usage.

In addition, we also reformatted the media content so that it could be delivered to visitors’ own smartphones in the form of an Imagineear Web App.
