Frans Hals Museum: First to Use the New MPi™

An important exhibition, Frans Hals and The Moderns, demonstrating the extensive influence of the 17thCentury Dutch painter on late 19thCentury artists, has opened at the Frans Hals Museumin Haarlem supported by a self-guided multimedia tour created by Imagineear and is the first to use Imagineear’s most versatile tablet player to date, the MediaPacker Interactive™ (MPi™).

Besides the tour in Dutch and English of the temporary exhibition, which features works by Manet, Singer Sargent and Van Gogh alongside those of Frans Hals, the MPi™ also carries interpretive content on selected objects from the museum’s permanent collection.

“We have worked with the Frans Hals Museum for a number of years and now it’s been exciting to work on this fascinating temporary exhibition and to migrate this and the permanent collection to play on our newest technology, ” explains Eleonore Heijboer, one of Imagineear’s founders and its Creative Director. “Visitors can enjoy the tours on the MPi’s™ high definition 4” touchscreen.

“We pride ourselves on the high standard of our creative content but, in addition, we are always pushing the boundaries to develop our renowned hardware to support new features, give the best experience for visitors and add benefits for the operational teams of our cultural clients.”

Frans Hals and The Moderns is open until 24thFebruary 2019.
