Imagineear Appoints Lead Creative Editor

Experienced writer and lecturer, Marion McAuley, has joined the expanding Imagineear team as Lead Creative Editor.

Previously, Marion worked for the National Gallery, London, where she lectured extensively on Western European paintings and ran the Gallery’s programme of courses and study events.

Most recently she was Head of Education for the Royal Collection. There she developed and delivered a learning and interpretation strategy to broaden understanding of the Collection’s works of art as well as the architecture and history of the Official Residences of Her Majesty The Queen. Marion was awarded the MVO in 2010.

As a writer, her publications include ‘Does The Queen Wear her Crown in Bed?’ and ‘Will there be Knights and Dragons?’ for the Royal Collection, and as a judge for the annual Sandford Award, Marion assesses the quality and impact of learning programmes at UK heritage sites.

In her own time, Marion is an enthusiastic gardener, enjoys running and travelling with her family.

‘Having worked with Marion on a wide variety of projects over the years I am pleased that she is joining the Imagineear team.  She had already made excellent contributions to our creative concept development, editing and scriptwriting in a freelance capacity,’ says Clare Cooper-Hammond, managing director of Imagineear in the UK. ‘As we have grown so rapidly in the last year, it is evident that we will benefit from having Marion’s insight, experience and creative talent leading content and concept development in the UK on a permanent basis.’
