Imagineear Scores in the Sports Business Awards 2018
In recognition of its work for world-famous Liverpool Football Club, Imagineear was awarded Bronze today in the Sports Business Awards 2018 Best Non-Match (or Game) day use of Venue category work for the Anfield Stadium Experience.
There, to pick up the award was Iain George (pictured right), Imagineear’s Project Director UK & Ireland, together with Tom Cassidy, Head of Tourism at Liverpool FC (pictured left).
“The mainstay of the Stadium Experience – a flexible tour experience to cater for the multiple visitor types to Liverpool FC and the varying needs of the Club and stadium management – was created by Imagineear,” explained Iain George, who lead the team in designing the visitor experience and the physical route mapping through the stadium, including the new Main Stand.
Imagineear created and fully produced an exciting new multimedia guide for self-guided tours on busy days. The tours, in English and eight other languages, plus an additional British sign language version, are played on Imagineear-designed and manufactured touch-screen hardware, the robust and advanced MPti™ device.
In addition, VIPs and groups are greatly enhancing their guided tour of the Stadium by using the multimedia content and capabilities of Imagineear’s new MultimediaGroupGuide™ platform – a market first.
Through multimedia, fans can immerse themselves in-depth behind the scenes at Anfield. They can walk through the new tunnel, sit in the manager’s dug out and experience is the crowd’s roar in the Kop, to live what it like on match-day as a player and as a fan. Creative achievements include in the guide include a 360º experience of the new stand and a street-view fly-through. The popular ‘Shirt-Cam’ allows visitors to point our device’s camera at player’s shirt in the Liverpool dressing-room and to trigger additional video and content about their favourites.
