Marketing and Business Development Intern

Internship Title: Marketing and Business Development Intern
Pay: Expenses only
Duration: 2 months
Location: Parsons Green

We have a great opening for an intern working with us to take forward a number of exciting new projects within our Business Development & Marketing team. You will have your own self-contained projects, and the support to make a success of them.

By the end of your placement you will have learned a huge amount across business development and marketing, the application of digital tools for cultural organisations, and project management. Unlike many internships, you will also take away your own portfolio of project ideas developed into sustainable projects, and a range of contacts in the cultural sector. At the same time there are opportunities for progression to join the company as it grows.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for culture, new ideas, new technologies as well as strong organisational & presentation skills.

This position is offered as an expenses only internship: Travel expenses will be covered as well as a weekly lunch allowance. imagineear’s headquarters are in London, but we are open to candidates located elsewhere in the UK interested in working remotely for part of the internship.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working across the development of our in2handheld service, but also the development of city guide CultureKey apps
  • Social media activity to promote apps to consumers
  • Other Online Activity as part of B2B marketing
  • Development of online and print material for imagineear’s in2handheld service
  • Online and offline research about suitable organisations to approach with in2handheld
  • Online and offline research to build marketing databases
  • Involvement in PR activity
  • Developing new ideas, and improvements to the service based on feedback and opportunities you spot

Skills required:

  • A passion for museums and galleries
  • Strong sales and persuasive skills
  • Good research and writing skills
  • Understanding of the positioning and marketing of new products, and of brands
  • Experience in using social media platforms will be a significant advantage
  • Fluency in written and verbal English is essential and good communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks and manage deadline

Media Production Assistant

Internship Title: Media Production Assistant
Pay: Expenses only
Duration: 2 months
Location: Parsons Green

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and hard-working graduate to come and join our team in London for two months on an internship basis, with an immediate start.

The internship will be divided into two main parts:

The first part of the internship will involve working with the Creative Coordinator on the production of “how-to” videos, interviews and case studies with clients, all forming part of the ‘imagineear Academy’ project. This role will require a hands on approach throughout the entire length of the production, from start to finish, and will therefore will require planning and coordinating, recording and editing etc. Experience in video production is essential and you will be required to use your own laptop and editing software.

From time to time, support will be required with visual graphics for marketing purposes (ie designing banners, flyers, newsletter headers etc) as well as support in creating on-screen visuals/stills for our tours. This aspect requires experience working in Photoshop and/or Illustrator/In-design, and you will be required to use your own laptop and software.

To be considered for the internship, you must have all of the following:

  • The ability to use of your own laptop and software
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • Excellent video production skills and substantial experience with editing software
  • Excellent Photoshop, Illustrator/InDesign, Word and Excel skills
  • Eye for detail and aesthetics
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • The ability to work independently; and
  • Having a second language is a huge plus

The internship is on an expenses-only paid basis for the duration of the two month period, and you will be based at our head office in London, next to Parsons Green tube station on the district line. At the end of the internship, if the personalities fit well and the need presents itself, there may be an opportunity for full-time employment.
