Team Imagineear participates in BBC Arts’ #MuseumFromHome day

Imagineear staff across the globe are today getting involved in the BBC Arts’ #MuseumFromHome day. As part of their Culture in Quaratine series, the BBC aims to bring arts and culture into the home during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Presented by freelance curators Dan Vo and Sacha Coward, the hashtag is the culmination of a week-long celebration of museums and galleries. Throughout the day the presenters will be live streaming interviews via Zoom, joined by museum experts from Imagineear clients such as Sonia Solicari, Director of the Museum of the Home, to talk about their Stay Home project, and the Royal Obervatory Greenwich discuss how humans have communicated at a distance throughout history.

Imagineear team members were asked to share a picture from their home of an object that would be on display in their own personal museum. Objects ranged from prized possessions, like a dressmaker’s dummy from the 1920s, or a self portrait painting to cherished furniture in the form of a Tibetan barber’s stool or a Roman bust!

“In extraordinary times like these, our homes have never been more important.” said Andrew Nugée, Founder and CEO at Imagineear. “All our staff are now working from their homes which represents a huge shift in how businesses like ours operate. We’re forging a whole new work culture where communication is of utmost importance and sharing little snapshots like this, of our new home working environments, helps us all feel closely connected as a team – and we’re all the stronger for it!”
