Imagineear expands our American client base with the Weitzman Museum of American Jewish History

The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History (NMAJH ) is the only museum in the United States dedicated exclusively to exploring and interpreting the American Jewish experience.

The NMAJH partnered with us to design and build a web app for their new permanent exhibition, The Future Will Follow the Past: An exhibition by Jonathan Horowitz.

The exhibition is intended to a bring present day perspective into the stories told by the museum’s installations, with Horowitz curating and adding various stories and versions of Jewish history and experience to existing pieces within the permanent collection.

The Imagineear Web App (IWA) was predominantly interview based and featured interviews with prominent Jewish figures including artist Deborah Kass, Professor of History and Associate Dean, Beth S. Wenger and Jonathan Horowitz himself.

We were able to use their experience and flexible approach, coordinating and undertaking all interviews remotely, working within differing timezones and working closely and responsively with our client to deliver the app within a tight deadline.

The result is a beautifully designed, narrated on-site experience of 12 stops throughout the museum. The additional audio content and interviews deepens the visitor experience and connection to the objects and artworks on display and adds an educational and emotive element to the visit.

“Working with your team was fantastic; Tyrone and Adam are first rate – and they produced a beautiful audio addition to our exhibition. I cannot thank them enough for their expertise, and Imagineear for even entertaining our crazy idea of producing an audio tour in a month!”- Josh Perelman PhD, Chief Curator & Director of Exhibitions and Interpretation, Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History
