Imagineear is a leading provider of multimedia content and technology solutions.  We design and produce multilingual content, which we often integrate with existing archive materials, as well as live audio.  We offer advice to clients in sports venues, cultural sites and the healthcare sector, creating multimedia media solutions, and publishing to both smart-phones and to our own smart devices on-site.  In London and Amsterdam, we have experienced content, hardware, software and data solution teams.  Our goal is to help our clients deliver exceptional value and memorable experiences to their visitors, both on- and off-site.

About the role

The role of the Technical Operations Manager is to support our clients on all aspects of service, while  maintaining Imagineear’s devices on a number of sites at client visitor attractions.  The Technical Operations Manager will also work closely with client site teams to ensure they are trained on how to use our devices and efficiently manage the on-site inventory.

Specific areas of responsibility for the role include:

  • Undertake hardware maintenance, ie shallow repairs and onsite fixes
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels using company systems
  • Conduct at least monthly service meetings with client representatives, covering ongoing service, operations, inventory levels, forthcoming needs and seasonal variations, identify opportunities
    • Document and report these meetings
    • Feed into wider company forecasting needs
  • Own and manage the stocks of consumables, ensuring the site has adequate stock levels of eg batteries, screens, lanyards, cases etc
    • Order replacements on a timely basis to ensure stock availability at all times
  • Plan and manage proactive maintenance schedules for eg battery swaps or case swaps
  • Recognise failure and repair trends, and work with colleagues to identify solutions
  • Identify operational improvements by reviewing current operations, identifying improvements, working with and training onsite staff,  and measuring effectiveness
  • Monitor device performance: for example battery performance
  • Liaise with others to co-ordinate deeper repairs to the Imagineear Service Centre in a cost- and environmentally-efficient manner

The role reports to

Head of Technical Services and Account Manager Channels & Partners.

Location of work

This role is based in New York City. It may include visits to Imagineear client sites to help develop an understanding of our unique product solution. There will also be some flexibility to work from home when scheduled and by prior agreement.

About you

You will be a technician with hands-on experience in addition to theoretical understanding. We are a small team, and you will be able to bounce ideas off other team members to provide solutions.  Management experience is not a requirement of the role.

  • Experience with IT infrastructure, ie simple networking with desktops and laptops
