Imagineear signs exclusive agreement to deepen R&D in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, to bring real time translation to Sign Language

In an exciting new partnership, Imagineear has agreed an exclusive agreement with Deafinitely, an AI technology business, based in Be’er Sheva, Israel’s hi-tech innovation capital.  The resulting platform harnesses the power of machine learning and artificial intelligence to bridge the gap in communication for the deaf and hard of hearing. Deafinitely was created by Nimrod Livne with the aim of increasing his deaf daughters’ independence.

As part of its R&D development programme, Imagineear is always looking for ways in which AI can streamline internal processes and increase the reach of sign language versioning of visitor materials, whilst maintaining appropriate quality levels. Imagineear is exploring this technology in the context of our full sign language offer, including audio description, transcription, subtitling and bespoke and regional interpretation provided with a human touch alongside our longstanding sign language partners.

‘Partnering with Imagineear is an exciting opportunity to bring Deafinitely to the sports, culture and visitor attractions sectors, and to broaden access options for visitors and clients.’ said Nimrod Livne, Founder of Deafinitely. ‘I look forward to seeing how, combined, we can better support the BSL Community.’

Andrew Nugée, Imagineear’s CEO, responded: ‘This partnership will offer our clients an opportunity to bring a much broader range of materials to their visitors.  I am delighted to announce the first two clients for this service: The O2 and the historic Bevis Marks synagogue, which received licence to worship from Oliver Cromwell in 1656.’
